Kelly is an Aboriginal women who descends from the Birpai people. Born, raised and continuing to living on the country of her ancestors.
Kelly is a creative who loves to traditionally weave baskets and dilly bags with local grasses harvested from Birpai Country. This creative outlet is her medicine and keeps her grounded.
During this workshop with Kelly you will learn about traditional Aboriginal weaving, the process of weaving from beginning to a finished product. Kelly will introduce you to the natural products that are used to weave and she will share her cultural gift , passion and knowledge.
This workshop is an experience, giving you an opportunity to connect with like-minded people, use your hands to create and explore aboriginal culture.
All experience levels welcome.
This class includes all materials, lunch and refreshments and you will go home with an amazing product you have made.
